Lance Corporal

10th Battalion Manchester Regiment

Curiously both Edward and his fellow Manchester Private Tom Cosgrove are both buried at Talana Farm Cemetery with a date of death of the 9th November 1917 but the battalion were positioned near the coast at Nieuport so it certainly begs the question what Edward and Tom were doing near Ypres?
