At 1:30 in the morning, the battalion moved forward to attack La Boiselle on the Somme in France - some 90 men were killed in that advance as part of the Battle of the Somme including Arthur - most including Arthur have no known grave and are remembered at Thiepval - the memorial to the Missing on the Somme
