Took off from RAF Skellingthorpe, Lincolnshire to bomb electrical transformers in Reggio Nell’Emilia, Lombardy, Italy in Lancaster B. Mk. III DV167 which is believed to have crashed near Traversetolo, Parma - three crew were buried nearby and then at Milan, the other crew were lost in the crash including Dennis Snell
